Ruijie RG-AP820-I is a cost-effective entry level wireless access point with Wi-Fi 6 dual-radio, dual-band design. It not only has the simplicity and flexibility for small and medium sized enterprise, but the features, functionality, and performance quality to scale up to large-enterprise network deployments. Ruijie RG-AP820-I supports maximum of 2.97Gbps wireless throughput when 160MHz bandwidth in 5G radio mode adopted (HE160). It fully complies with Wi-Fi 6 features and guarantees minimal signal interference.
Ruijie RG-AP820-I is an 802.11ax-compliant enhanced wireless Access Point (AP) released by Ruijie Networks for scenarios in the higher education, government, general education, finance, and business sectors, and RG-AP820-I has an SFP port for the Simplified Optical Ethernet solution. Ruijie RG-AP820-I complies with the 802.11ax, 802.11ac Wave2, 802.11ac Wave1, and 802.11n protocols. It adopts the hardware-independent dual-radio design and can provide a maximum access rate of 2.976 Gbps, which breaks through the bottleneck in wireless performance. Important factors such as the wireless network security, radio control, mobile access, quality of service (QoS), seamless roaming, and expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) module are fully taken into account for this product. Therefore, Ruijie RG-AP820-I can be used in combination with Ruijie Wireless Controllers (ACs) and RG-WIS to implement STA data forwarding, security, access control, and IoT application extension.
Ruijie RG-AP820-I supports spatial reuse with the Basic Service Set (BSS) color in 802.11ax. This feature color-codes BSSs of different WLANs with different BSS colors and further classifies BSSs into internal BSSs (BSSs of the device) and external BSSs. Different packet receiving and transmission thresholds are configured for BSSs on this AP. When Ruijie RG-AP820-I AP judges that a received packet is from an external BSS based on the BSS color and the signal strength is lower than the packet receiving threshold for external BSSs, the AP ignores this packet. Packets from internal BSSs are not affected. This technology implements channel reuse in high-density scenarios and greatly eases frequency interference in actual network deployment. Ruijie RG-AP820-I supports local power supply and power over Ethernet (PoE), which can be selected based on on-site power supply conditions. In addition, this AP can be mounted on the wall or on the ceiling, making the AP especially applicable to scenarios including offices, classrooms and corridors.
